I am forever being caught out by the phrase "marinate overnight" when cooking and yes, I took another hit tonight. As I scan the recipes for the week I look for all sorts of signs of a late meal such as oven duration, number of ingredients and of course the old marinade chestnut. To overcome this bump in the road I resort to basting the meat instead which works really well. This dish is the Sweet Soy Beef with Noodles from this month's Delicious Magazine and apart from the aforementioned gotcha was very easy to make as it has only 7 ingredients and was served up in record time despite my close shave.
With a big year ahead of us I thought a Project 366 would be the perfect way to look back at the way it was.

Day 31 - For the time poor
